Why doesn't this tool give me a numeric OINP score?

Accepted Answer

Because Ontario doesn't publish one for its main Express Entry stream. The Human Capital Priorities stream selects candidates by issuing a Notification of Interest against your Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) rank — there is no separate, published OINP-specific points formula to calculate. A tool that invented one would be misleading, so this screener gives you a plain-language fit verdict per stream instead.

What does 'Likely fit' actually mean?

Accepted Answer

It means your answers align with the core profile that stream typically selects — for example, CLB 7+ with a degree and skilled experience for Human Capital Priorities, or a permanent Ontario job offer for the Employer Job Offer streams. It is not a guarantee of a Notification of Interest, an invitation to apply, a nomination, or permanent residence approval — those decisions rest with OINP and IRCC.

Do I need an Express Entry profile for every OINP stream?

Accepted Answer

No. The Human Capital Priorities and French-Speaking Skilled Worker streams are Express Entry-linked and require an active profile. The Employer Job Offer streams and the Masters/PhD Graduate streams are Enhanced streams that don't require an Express Entry profile, though a nomination through them can still be used to boost your CRS score if you have one.
